Under the Motor Vehicle Insurance Ordinance, it is compulsory for all vehicle owners to take out Motor Vehicle Third Party Liability Insurance.

To protect your interests, you may require comprehensive cover, which includes cover of your own damage to the vehicle. The present minimum liability under the Ordinance for third party bodily injury on any vehicle is HK$100 million.
